2 Minute Exercise

Wednesday, July 3, 2024 2:23 PM

This is one of my favorite exercises to do and you can do it with so many things! The basis of the exercise is to set a timer for at least 2 minutes and just write! Being that it is the New Year I chose to do this around what I hope will happen in 2024.

If you are anything like me staring at a blank piece of paper and being told to write down everything you want can be overwhelming! I know there are things I want, but when i’m put on the spot and asked to brainstorm a list I completely freeze. (Preference for Sensing) So I like to gather inspiration from pinterest, social media, or whenever I think of something I will put it in a note in my phone!

At the beginning of a New Year, everyone is making vision boards, writing down their goals but I like to start with this exercise it helps me gather all of my thoughts in one area so I can determine what my biggest priorities are! I So this morning I sat down with a piece of blank paper, set my timer and started writing! It took me maybe 30 seconds before I could think of one thing but once I started I couldn’t put down my pen! Soon I had a full page of ideas, goals, things I wanted to happen, trips to plan, home rennovation ideas and more! Now with that full list, I will move on to making my vision board and getting clear about my top goals for 2024!

You can do this exercise with a variety of things, in fact I encourage you to use this with almost everything! Whether it be house projects or rennovations, new business ventures, things you would like to attract into your life, trips or vacations, big goals, small goals, new year, new month, family, holiday traditions and more! The sky is truly the limit and this exercise can be a lot of fun!

A few tips when doing this exercise:

- Start with 2 minutes but don’t be afraid to extend the timer

- If you are stuck ask a friend for inspiration, browse on pinterest, or google search

- Make notes in your phone whenever something pops into your mind that may fit

- Try not to stop writing for the full 2 minutes (or longer)

- Put on some music if that helps to inspire you

- Don’t be afraid to out some big goals on these lists. You don’t need to know how they are going to happen just have faith that they will!

This exercise is meant to be fun, so enjoy it! Think of all the things you wanted as a kid, think of the things you would enjoy if they were to come into your life and just keep writing! Again don’t worry about the how, just focus on writing down the things you WANT!

Enjoy! If you try this out - message me your thoughts and how it went! For some this may come very easily (most likely a preference for intuition) so if you find yourself struggling pause the timer search for inspiration and then get back to it!

As always go find + live your best life!
